The main aim of this paper is to detect the ten-year changes in urban green spaces of Tehran metropolis, from 2010 to 2019, using the time series of Landsat 5, 7 and 8 images. The change detection was done in both annual and ten-year scale and the results are analyzed in two spatial scales; city level and municipal district-level. Detection of changes was done by a post-classification approach. The innovation of the study is efforts to reach the best results in the image classification step, for which in addition to optical and thermal bands' various features including some vegetation indices, water and built-up index, image texture components, and principal components were also used. Three classification methods including maximum likelihood, artificial neural network and support vector machine were implemented. The results indicated that the support vector machine has had the best result with 91.06% mean overall accuracy. The change detection showed a 10.58% decrease in the Tehran green spaces in the period under review. The greatest decrease, about 7.46 Km2, occurred in the period 1390-91 and the largest increase was 7.61 Km2 in the period 1394-95. Among the 22 municipal districts, regions 1 and 22 with 5.2 and 2.37 Km2, respectively, have had the highest decrease in urban green space, and regions 2 and 19 with 0.5 and 0.47 Km2, respectively, have had the highest increase.

Bandar Abbas city includes a special architectural style in an area with hot and humid climate that, our predecessors had ingredients the knowledge of vernacular architectural features and their application in the city by thinking about the climate to achieve sustainable architecture and urban planning. As they analyzed and evaluated it in detail with three scales of urban fabric, single-building architecture and architectural details in order to understand the vernacular architecture in the city of Bandar Abbas as a sustainable model. To investigate this search, in a qualitative study several areas of the urban fabric with the existing buildings (60 buildings dating back over 70 years of age) were selected and analyzed. The results showed that in the scale of the urban fabric (factors of building form, skeletal neighborhood spaces) and in the single-building scale (orientation of buildings, green areas, central courtyard, communicative structure of the inner spaces) and for the architectural details (bars, thick walls, openings) are the features of vernacular architecture of the region which played an important role in the sustainability of Bandar Abbas, to develop the regional consistency with climate and knowing the construction approaches in architecture and urbanism they could achieve a suitable model for the construction in a hot and humid climate and provided it for new architects and urban planners.

In this research, we aimed to identify the effective factors in increasing visual attractiveness to achieve high urban quality and the mood of people in the urban landscape. Previous studies have shown that visual factors play an important role in improving the quality of urban environments. Therefore, the promotion of urban quality, by creating a visually attractive space in the everyday landscape, can help restore vitality to cities and make them a more desirable environment. The research method is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. At the first, the content validity of the questionnaire was measured by the Content Validity Ratio (CVR). Elements with CVR >0.49 were chosen as the final set of clusters. Then, using the SAM questionnaire, 12 participants who were not related to architectural education were examined. The results shows that the landscape, openness, mystery, social interactions and pedestrian give the highest priority to the creation and promotion of this quality and these elements significantly change the participants’ mood. The novelty of this study is in using the SAM questionnaire to assess mood in front of the everyday landscape.

Urban old areas, which were once the important parts of the towns and are now considered the identity of these areas, are not reclaimable and renewable due to the poor condition and disassociation of its residents. This study aims to evaluate the physical parameters of the urban old areas and their problems in the city of Oshnavieh. The research design is analytical-descriptive method. The research population is the residents of the case study town and, according to Cochran Formula, 317 questionnaires were distributed among residents. The sampling was done based on the homogeneity of statistics population using systematic sampling. To analyze physical parameters of the area, Arc GIS software and to detect the effect of aging areas on residents, the SPSS software were used respectively. The results show that from the total 16 parts of old areas, four areas (%25 of the areas), contain all three factors of microlithic parts, poor quality of buildings, and accessibility to below 6 meters and six areas (%37.5 of the area), has two Factors. Therefore, the deterioration in these 10 areas has been more tangible. It was also found that about %54.5 of the residents has been already living in their neighborhood so that about %47.6 has been resident in their regions more than 10 years.

Management of the movement of people and goods in the streets of a city is the main cause of urban transport systems. Operation of the system is dependent on the necessary infrastructure and proper placement of the various components and the components consistency together. One of the most important public transportation infrastructure is Multi-storey car parking structures as one of the centers of large cities. This can play a major role in reducing Traffic of parking in street sides and its psychological effects. The parking lot can have the necessary performance when in the right place. The study was descriptive - analytical and the purpose is to make location for the Multi-storey car parking in the city of Rasht. In this context, based on the literature and opinion of expertin transportation, urban development and urban planning, we selected 8 parameters including distance to main populated centers including malls, office - services, entertainment - catering, access to arterial roads and main squares, the distance to and functionality and compatibility of applications. The data have been analyzed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The final area suitable for parking lot has been selected by overlay map. Then, using a map obtained from research model, during the field visit, it was found in an area that has very good potential. The area of land for construction of parking lot are located in the barren, vacant land, old parking and dilapidated buildings. We selected 9 areas with 35,547 square metersto build parking. We made a ranking of the suitable aseas with the demand and the need to resolve the problem of lack of parking garages in order of importance and priority.

The present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the relationship between the quantitative factors of degree of enclosure and the temperature difference (the difference between the average temperature of the passages and the average temperature of the city at the same time) in the historical passages of the city of Meybod. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The dependent variable was the temperature difference of historical passages with the average temperature of the city and the four variables of length, width, height of the body and the degree of enclosure of the passage were considered as independent variables. The statistical population is 90 passages in the historical context of Meibod city. The way of choosing the passages was random and based on their share from each neighborhood of the entire network of passages in the historical context of the city. Correlation tests, linear regression and Pearson's correlation test were used to measure the relationship between the quantitative factors of degree of enclosure and temperature changes. The results indicate that the two components of enclosure degree and wall height with beta of 0.634 and 0.623 at a significance level above %95 have a signinificant and direct relationship with the temperature difference of historical passages and city temperature. According to the findings it can be concluded that there is no signinificant relationship between the length and width of the passages and temperature changes in the city, while there is a significant relationship between the height of the wall and the degree of enclosure of the passages and temperature changes.

The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate locations of fuel supply stations (CNG) according to the existing criteria in the western areas of Tehran. In this regard, by using GIS, a map of effective parameters in locating gas refueling stations, such as: population density, passages and access, land slope, compatible and incompatible uses was prepared. By utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model parallel comparisons between criteria were performed and the importance and weight of each criterion was determined by using Expert Choice software. The results of weighing the criteria showed that the benchmarks of fire, access and population density had the greatest impact on creating suitable locations for gas refueling, respectively, and the development of gas stations in the western part of Tehran Municipality has not been done based on population needs of different areas. The output map obtained by spatial analysis and AHP indicated that among the available stations, about 29% of them are located in areas with good potential and 71% of places are in places with medium potential and no places are located in areas with unsuitable potential. Also, 32.53% of the areas have suitable potential, 43.76% have medium potential and 23.7% have inappropriate potential for construction of refueling station. The novelty of the present study is that it examines a set of effective parameters.

The aim of this study is simulation and forecasting of maximum temperature and heat waves in Urmia city from 2020 to 2050 in order to predict and reduce the negative effects of a sudden increase in temperature, which is simulated using SDSM software and CanESM2 model And is predicted using the most appropriate RCP scenario for the next 31 years. For this purpose, the maximum daily temperature data of Urmia from 1961 to 2005 were obtained from the Meteorological Organization and forecasted. The innovation of this study is using the least error RCP scenario for more accurate prediction. According to the results, RCP 8.5 scenario was selected as the least error scenario for forecasting. According to the results the average maximum temperature in Urmia will decrease from late winter to late spring compared to the base period and in mid-summer there will be a slight increase. In general, during the years 2050-2020, the maximum temperature trend of Urmia will be increasing. According to the results of the Baldi index, The heat waves will be short and maximum four days. One-day heat waves will have the highest frequency and will have a slight upward trend, Two, three and four day heat waves will have a decreasing trend. In general, short-term heat waves are more likely to occur than long-term heat waves. Also, since the detected heat waves often showed the highest frequency in autumn and winter, so the probability of this hazard occurring in cold seasons is higher than warm seasons.

The existence of a well-organized, rational, and functional hierarchy system in a geographical space has an important role in the appropriate function of the cities and residencies and also in the connection of the urban network with the rural residency network. Regarding the rupture and in coherence between these two sets, it is important to endeavor to make a hierarchic connection among the residencies. One of the strategies which can be effective in achieving the optimum residential space extension in regional scale is exploiting the space extension models and conforming them to region situations. Employing the descriptive-analytical research methods, the present article investigates the propounded theories in regional space extension and then introduces the ''Hilhorest centered expansion '' strategy as the appropriate pattern for region space extension. The central cities in regulating the residential system and in establishing a connection with small residencies has led to intended centralization of population, services, and investments in Tabriz and around it and finally the lack of space homogeneity and back wardens of other regions of East Azerbaijan, especially the rural areas.

One of the main concerns of city planners and managers is how to fairly distribute and allocate urban resources and services in different areas of cities in proportion to the needs of urban society. Optimum distribution of services are directly related to the planning of land use and the successful planning of urban land use, in turn, depends on how the laws and aropriate policies create and employ efficient methods to provide and implement urban projects as well as land use plans. This study aimed to investigate how the urban resources and services were allocated and concentrated in different areas of Shahindezh city with an emphasis on social justice. The research method was analytical-comparative while using statistical techniques as well as practical models including Williamson index and Shannon Entropy. The findings of this study indicated that the majority of urban land use in Shahindezh was under common standards of the country that according to lack of space, it could be used for cultural, religious, and sanitary purposes. The results also revealed the unfair and unequal distribution of a number of activities and services in different areas of the city. Finally, investigating the spatial distribution of urban services indicated that there was a tendency towards concentration and polarization in land use in some areas of the city.

Urban growth pattern is one of the major issues which can contribute to sustainability and life of cities, and with all characteristics including form, function, physic and content, has been the endless concern of theorists, philosophers and idealists from at least the 5th century BC to the present day, and today, having knowledge about city spatial form can be one of the important factors affecting the success of urban planners and practitioners, and help urban environment improvement. Therefore, due to the importance of the subject, the present research is aimed to evaluate physical – spatial growth pattern of Tabriz and Istanbul metropolis using quantitative methods. The present research, in terms of nature and method, is descriptive -analytical and practical. So that, the required data were collected using survey, documentary and library studies and then physical – spatial growth form of Tabriz city (with 10 region) and Istanbul (With 39 region) was calculated using quantitative methods. To evaluate the city form, for method (metropolis size, density, gathering degree, balanced distribution) was used. The results of this research show that the present growth pattern of Tabriz city is fragmented and tends to random pattern in 1390 years. But the form of the Istanbul metropolis, shows tendency of focus growth pattern.

The aim of this study was to simulate land use change in urban contexts using a combination of Monte Carlo model, fuzzy logic and automated cells in District 7 of Isfahan. The research method was descriptive-analytical, and usage of Monte Carlo approach, application of more land types, more comprehensive transition rules, and more complete factors in the land use change process are of its contribution. In this study first the framework of the automated cell model integrated with fuzzy logic and the Monte Carlo approach was described. Two time periods of 1390-1400 and 1400-1410 were used. Finally, to compare the developed model with the models of automatic cells integrated with fuzzy logic and traditional automatic cells, three indicators of compatibility, compactness and land susceptibility were used. According to the research results of the cellular model combined with fuzzy logic and the Monte Carlo approach had a more satisfactory output than the other two models.
