Abstract

granite and gypsum, in the consumer affairs of the interior space of buildings in the city of Tabriz. study is of a developmental-applied type using an experimental and laboratory method, which was observed and monitored in the form of physical-chemical sampling and microscopic analysis in a natural environment and without the intervention of the researcher in a real context. In order to determine the use of granite rocks for environmental purposes, the natural radioactivity of the samples, including the measurement of the activity of Th232, Ra226 and K40 nuclei in terms of Bq/kg, was calculated using the (Lsrmbsi) and after processing with formulas and relationships, it was compared with the world standard level.
this result, the research findings based on the calculations of the concentration of radioactive elements and natural radiation risk indices in 11 granite rock samples studied showed that the highest levels of radiation activity for the elements 232Th, 226Ra and 40K are observed in Mashhad Pearl Granite, Bukan Grey Granite and Atshkoh Granite, respectively. Also, the above calculations in the studied gypsum samples showed that the specific activity of radioactive nuclei 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in terms of Bqkg-1 is less than MDA, with the exception of Omid gypsum with values of 3.02, 2.06 and <5.48 While the lowest radium equivalent activity was calculated for the Sadaf gypsum sample 2 times <1.73. Comparison of the research findings according to Tables 1 to 5 indicates that the natural radioactivity of gypsum is much lower than that of granite.
