The present study was conducted with the aim of analytical evaluation of green urban development trends in District 22 of Tehran during a five-year period from 2011-2016. The research method was descriptive and analytical. Research data were collected in two time periods (2011 &2016) from official documents and databases of governmental and non-governmental organizations, especially environmental deputies and Tehran Municipality. In order to determine the extent of the effect of each of the criteria for evaluating the green city and scoring their performance in this 5-year period, experts used two separate questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using Expert Choice software and performance evaluation matrix and Excel spreadsheet. The innovation of the research is the use of various and valid criteria in relation to the green city in order to "evaluate" the performance of green urban development during a five-year period in the 22nd district of Tehran. The results of the study showed that in the study period, out of 39 criteria, 18 criteria had a good performance during this period, including: water sustainability policy, daily average SO2 and per capita green space, and 21 other criteria had ineffective or undesirable performance. The final result of the evaluation of the performance of the green city showed that the development of the green city in this region is in a moderate position due to its significant environmental potentials and is relatively far from the ideal point.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of land use planning in the Master plan of Malayer city. If the urban development plans are implemented as approved, the public interest will be provided and many urban problems will be solved..In this regard, for the first time the Master plan realization of Malayer as a middle-sized city with a population of about 170,000 people was examined. The research methodology in terms of purpose is applied and of nature is descriptive-analytical.Needed information was extracted from the city's development plans. The results showed that like all comprehensive plans that are prepared in Iran by traditional methods, the comprehensive plan of Malayer city, is accompanied with weaknesses and threats of this model such as authoritarianism, separation of the plan preparation process from the implementation stage, certainty in locating uses, …, and has had little feasibility. Dedicated review of Malayer Comprehensive Plan showed that, in general, The feasibility of the proposed uses has been low. In the meantime, the uses of urban facilities and equipment, health-welfare, sports, hospitality and tourism services have been below the average. Educational, administrative and disciplinary uses, green space and forest parks, industrial, religious and transportation facilities have been constructed more than moderate and need and only residential, medical, commercial and cultural uses have been realized in accordance with the master plan proposals. In the meantime, the irregular increase in the level and per capita industrial and roads uses have caused more damage to the city of Malayer.

The aim of the present study was to measure the indicators of urban creativity and compare the three metropolises of Tehran, Mashhad and Esfahan. This research was done with a descriptive-analytical method of applied type. To measure information, four criteria and 23 sub-criteria were extracted, and Shannon's entropy model and gray relational analysis method were used to determine the relative importance of the research criteria. Research innovation is to address the common criteria of urban creativity and knowledge-based urban development. The findings of the research showed the final ranking of metropolises in terms of urban creativity indicators being Tehran metropolis to rank first, Mashhad metropolis to rank second, and Esfahan metropolis to rank third. Also, the prioritization of megacities in relation to the urban development of basic knowledge, Tehran was ranked first, Mashhad second, and Esfahan third. The results of the research showed that urban creativity is a potential concept that should be seriously strengthened in Tehran, Esfahan and Mashhad cities in order to provide the possibility of knowledge-based urban development. The innovative aspect of the research showed that the knowledge-based development is possible when creativity along with knowledge takes place in a creative environment with knowledgeable economy and under the supervision of knowledgeable managers by knowledgeable workers.

The aim of this study was to identify the effects of urban development on rangelands and forests of Sirvan city. In terms of nature, it has been a descriptive-analytical research by the use of Landsat 5TM satellite sensors of 1987, Landsat 7 ETM + sensors of 2000 and Landsat 8 of OLI sensors of 2016 in order to collect data. After performing geometric and atmospheric corrections on the maps, images were classified through maximum likelihood algorithm supervised method with and LCM method was used to analyze the changes. The attempt was made to study the trend of land use changes in Sirvan city to protect the forests and pastures of Sirvan city, so that it could be planned for better management. Findings showed that in the period 1987 to 2000, about 140 ha of pastures were built for human lands and in the period 2000 to 2016, about 395 ha of pastures and 20 ha of forests were built for human lands. In a period of 29 years, 6850 ha of pastures and 680 ha of forests were changed to agricultural lands and according to the results, urban development has turned the rangeland and forest lands of Sirvan city into residential lands. The theory of urban competitiveness is based on Porter Diamond's theory. There is a link between housing that has a large share of the total economy and urban economic competitiveness. The adequacy of the supply and allocation of land for the development of new housing, as well as the importance of maintaining cheap land, which can be maintained by local power for urban development, is evident. In this research, the purpose of the estimation of the number of residential units needed to provide residential units in Tehran in 1400 Hijri. The research method of this paper is based on information-based analytical-descriptive. Considering that the population is the main cause of creating a potential demand for housing, first the population of Tehran was estimated for 1400 using three nonlinear polynomial quadratic models, Gampartz and logistic. Since the comprehensive plan of each city is the city's most important project, population estimates of second-order polygonal models and Gampartz were considered due to their close proximity to the project. Then, using the logistic model, which was a suitable method for estimating the number of residential units in a citythat the number of residential units was estimated based on these three population estimates. The number of residential units obtained from the Gompertz model based on the population was 663141 which can be as a measure for decision making and urban future planning in order to achieve economic competitiveness of the city.

Cities are considered the context of the most important social, economic, political, and cultural activities. The study of urbanization process indicates that urban population is rapidly growing and cities face high rates of population growth, failing to control the caused problems so far. The phenomenon of migration is today considered as one of the most important and complicated problems in the Third World countries. Obviously, Iran has been affected by this issue as well. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of migration on Babol development. This study was descriptive-analytical cross-sectional research. Through Cochran's sampling method, 322 questionnaires were administered. In order to analyze the data obtained, SPSS software and SWOT model were used. The study findings revealed that sustainability as an important factor in sustainable urban projects must be considered in the implementation of urban renovation plans. According to the results of the questionnaires gained by SWOT model, the views of experts, planners, officials and directors of Babol indicated that the weaknesses and threats of migration on the development of the city is much more than its strengths and opportunities, and so migration to the city causes instability and makes it difficult to achieve sustainable development.

Increasing population has disrupted the order of nature and led to restructuring of the original land. In recent years, in order to prevent the horizontal growth of cities, the idea of constructing high-rise buildings in cities around the world such as Tehran metropolis has been proposed. One of the negative impacts of high-rise building is the change in urban wind flow. Therefore, this study aims to assess the impact of high-rise buildings on the performance of urban wind flow using an inductive-comparative method. In this study, District 22 in Tehran was selected as the case study due to its increasing trend of high-rise construction. The findings of the study showed that the natural pattern of wind flow changed due to the incorrect and non-normative positioning of tall buildings; thereby, this led to the secondary effects resulted from stagnation or intensification of wind flow causing serious problems for air inlet corridor of Tehran. Therefore, appropriate principles and criteria for both the site location as well as the assessment of high-rise building observed by urban managers seem to provide bases for accurate management actions and reduce the side effects.
