The housing sector is one of the most important land uses in cities. Considering the various environmental, economic and social problems of scattered urban growth and also the need to provide housing, especially in big cities, planning and designing suitable residential complexes to improve the quality of life is absolutely necessary to respond to the residential needs of citizens. The present article, in the first place, seeks to define and index the concept of "quality of life" and in the second place, to determine the amount of quality of life in various scales of residential complexes. The main goal of the research is to rank residential complexes and explain the effective factors in the quality of life of these types of residential units. In this study, after identifying the factors affecting the quality of life in the studied residential complexes using the factor analysis method, the weighting of the main and secondary criteria was done using the network analysis method. The weighting results according to this method show that the criterion of geographic location with 334. and the component of environmental conditions with a score of 118. They assigned the highest and lowest weight respectively in the quality of life of residential complexes. In the following, the residential complexes were ranked in terms of quality of life using Vicor Plus, network analysis and TOPSIS ranking techniques. Due to the different rating points, to reach a general consensus about the quality of life of residential complexes, the consolidated model of Cape Land has been used. According to the Cape Land technique, in terms of quality of life, the Asman residential complex ranked first with a score of -6 and the accommodation complex ranked last.

The purpose of this research is to develop a landscape design guide for Mehranrood based on the theory of environmental preferences of Kaplans and with a participatory design approach. The edge of Mehranrood near the historical bazaar of Tabriz is surrounded by a circle of inefficient spaces due to the design approach without the participation of the people. Citizen participation requires the intervention of people's preferences in the design process of this ecological area of the city. For this purpose, first, the visual qualities of urban design were classified based on Kaplan variables and became the basis for selecting images. The images were then scored using the VPT technique. The statistical population of the study was residents, merchants and passers-by in the study area. Sampling was done by simple random method and the sample size was determined to be 200 according to the Cochran's formula. This study shows that citizens' visual preferences are more prone to variables of complexity and readability. Although qualities related to coherence and mystery variables must also be present in the environment, they have a lower priority. There is also a relationship between Kaplan's variables and equivalent visual qualities in urban design. The degree of correlation between the variables of coherence and rhythm, complexity and variety, readability and visual permeability, mystery and wave motions is more than other variables in their respective group. The innovation of this research has been the simultaneous attention to the inseparable dimensions of objective and subject in landscape evaluation.

The main purpose of this study is to assess the level of citizens' satisfaction with public transportation in Tabriz. The research tool is the questionnaire and the statistical population of Tabriz citizens. The statistical sample was calculated based on Cochran's formula and was selected randomly in the statistical population. The research method is survey. Due to the range of questioning and interviews with citizens using this system in different days, hours and conditions, it has innovation. first 13 indicators were identified to assess the level of satisfaction with the services of the bus system in the city. information was collected and were analyzed using SPSS software and one-sample t-test. The results showed that the level of satisfaction with research indicators can be divided into three groups. In the first group; There are indicators that the level of satisfaction with these indicators is moderate. Indicators such as heating systems, cooling system and the amount of payment are in the first group. In the second group; There are indicators such as the behavior of drivers and employees and working hours of the bus system, and satisfaction with these indicators is above average. Also in the third group; The level of satisfaction with the indicators of route furniture and stations, safety and security of stations, number of seats for passengers and services provided for the disabled is less than average. The average overall satisfaction is 3.13, which indicates that it is in a medium range.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the land use distribution of urban neighborhood parks in terms of access standards to residential areas and population density in District 3 of Tabriz. Research method is analytical descriptive. The method of data collection is documentary. The statistical population of the research is region 3 of Tabriz city. Descriptive and spatial data of these parks are stored in the form of a database in GIS software and then by designing the network, accessing the area of region 3 of Tabriz municipality and determining the geographical location of the parks in that area. The service of each park was identified using a network analysis model. Also, using the approach of spatial proximity of parks, the current situation of District 3 of Tabriz Municipality in terms of the duration of citizens' access to parks was studied and areas outside the service coverage of parks were estimated. In addition to the above method, Thiessen analysis and buffering methods were used to determine the functional area and duration of access to each park. The results showed that by calculating the space covered by the service parks in the neighborhood parks of District 3 of the municipality, the existing parks in the neighborhoods of this area cover only 71.1% of the area under study. Therefore, the northern part of this area of the city needs to locate new neighborhood parks in order to maximize the access coverage of this part of District 3. In addition, the southern part of this area of the city, due to the uninhabited lack of access network, currently has no need to create a neighborhood park. Investigating and evaluating the access of citizens to urban parks from two dimensions is within this research realm, one in the form of GIS software and the other using two models of buffering and tsin is a type of innovation in this field of study.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the evolution of contemporary commercial spaces in Tabriz with a focus on the traditional market. This research is qualitative which is based on library and field study. It is done by the retroductive research strategy. The method of data collection in the library section is through systematic review of urban plan documents and related studies and in the field section is using the phenomenological method and semi-structured interview. Interviewees were selected from marketers and experts, and interviews were conducted until information was saturated (14 people). The novelty of this paper can be in the phenomenological understanding of the historical process of Bazaar in relation to political, geographical and economic factors of the city and region. The results indicate that this bazaar has played an international and national role. It has the ability to create value-added, and forming the activity clusters but with the advent of modernity, the introduction of new goods and services and the emergence of new spaces have stagnated. Usage of past experiences, traditional spaces are sufficient to transform into an exhibition for attracting the customers, leading to the recreation of forgotten professions. Such actions have helped to expand the audience and strengthen the spatial relationships between production, representation and service. Indeed It is possible to create a rational relationship between education and production inside the local workshops, customer service and representation spaces. These mentioned steps will provide multi-functional space with a priority of production and reproduction useful on a recreation of urban life.

Urban sprawl or uncontrolled dispersion of built-up areas imposes many economic, social, and environmental issues to cities with a high growth rate. The combination of Remote Sensing and GIS. Technologies with the Shannon Entropy Model can used to identify, quantify and analyze the trends of urban sprawl patterns. In this research, Landsat satellite imagery, spatial analysis of GIS and Shannon entropy used in two levels (for the whole city and within urban areas) in Tabriz city. After geometric and radiometric correction of images and the mapping of urban and non-urban areas in four periods from 1972 to 2013, to calculate the total entropy of each period, the region divided into 58 cells. In addition, to create a spatial pattern map and visualize urban sprawl, the whole city divided into 100 cells with 16 sub-cells, the amount of entropy of 16 cells was calculated, and sprawl spatial pattern obtained by Kriging interpolation method. The results of this study showed that urban sprawl of Tabriz has been approaching the maximum entropy (4.06) from 1972 to 2013 and has caused a two-fold gap between the growth of urban areas and the population. In addition, the spatial pattern of urban sprawl is unbalanced and focuses on the city’s communication axes.

Today, the necessity and importance of dealing with women issue is due to the fact that women form half of the population of the cities, as a fact if the security of women is provided, the rate of women's use of public space in urban parks will increase. On the other hand, the lack of security and satisfaction with urban parks makes that women leave these spaces. The aim of this paper is to study the rate of security in different parks and the impact of physical-environmental facilities and public space services on the women’s sense of security. The research method is descriptive-analytical and a questionnaire is used to collect the data. The statistical population involves all the women using the public spaces of Tabriz city and the sample size includes 320 women. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference between the senses of security in different parks. The results of Tukey test indicate that women's sense of security in a neighborhood and regional parks is significantly lower than the roadside, and outside of the city parks. Also, The Pearson correlation analysis also show that there is a significant positive relationship between women's sense of security and environmental quality (p=0.001, r=0.43). Other results indicate relatively good condition for women's security in the parks of Tabriz (mean=3.44; Sig= 0.001).
