The present research has been conducted with the aim of identifying and evaluating the ecological foundations and their impact on livability of district 1 of Tehran metropolis. Tehran metropolis, like other metropolises, is facing many problems in economic, social, environmental and physical fields, such as reduction of livability and diminishing the importance of ecological foundations in the structure of urban life. The method of this research is descriptive - analytical and it is applied in terms of purpose. By using Topsis technique and AHP hierarchy process, ecological indicators were weighted and ranked based on FUZZY method of the ten regions of district 1. The results show that among these regions district 4 with a value of 0.957 has the highest and district 8 with a value of 0.243 has the lowest rank in terms of the impact of ecological foundations on livability . It can be concluded that the more and higher quality the ecological foundations are in urban areas, their role will be more in the viability of urban areas. The innovation of this research is to identify the existing ecological foundations in district 1 and use of AHP and FUZZY techniques.

The present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the relationship between the quantitative factors of degree of enclosure and the temperature difference (the difference between the average temperature of the passages and the average temperature of the city at the same time) in the historical passages of the city of Meybod. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The dependent variable was the temperature difference of historical passages with the average temperature of the city and the four variables of length, width, height of the body and the degree of enclosure of the passage were considered as independent variables. The statistical population is 90 passages in the historical context of Meibod city. The way of choosing the passages was random and based on their share from each neighborhood of the entire network of passages in the historical context of the city. Correlation tests, linear regression and Pearson's correlation test were used to measure the relationship between the quantitative factors of degree of enclosure and temperature changes. The results indicate that the two components of enclosure degree and wall height with beta of 0.634 and 0.623 at a significance level above %95 have a signinificant and direct relationship with the temperature difference of historical passages and city temperature. According to the findings it can be concluded that there is no signinificant relationship between the length and width of the passages and temperature changes in the city, while there is a significant relationship between the height of the wall and the degree of enclosure of the passages and temperature changes.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the physical expansion and spatial changes of heat islands in Minab city during three time periods (1975-1988, 1988-2000, and 2000-2014). For this purpose, TM and OLI images of Landsat satellite were used. The physical changes of the city were obtained by analyzing the values extracted from the two indices of normalized difference built (NDBI) and normalized difference vegetation (NDVI). To find heat islands of the city, single-channel and separate-window algorithms and to investigate the contribution of population growth and urban horizontal growth on changes in heat islands, Shannon and Holdren entropy models were used. The results showed that the maximum amount of physical expansion of the city happened 901.61 hectares, in the years 1988 to 2000 of which 55.6 percent was based on population growth and 44.4 percent was based on the incrae of land per capita. The area of the heat islands was estimated to be 112.96 hectares, indicating the north-south and east-west trend, which has grown more than 4 times compared to the previous period. The share of population factor in this growth was 62.8 hectares and the share of urban sprawl was 50.16 hectares. The Shannon’s entropy value was 0.3, indicating an unrestricted growth in the considered period. In general, in the 39-year period, a 5 fold increase in the size, a 6.34 fold increase in the population and a 5.7 fold increase in the heat islands area were observed in the Minab city. Since no documentary report has been presented regarding the investigation of heat islands in Minab city, the results of the present research can be used to manage the concentration of the city points.

The purpose of this study was to assess the qualitative components affecting the security of urban thoroughfares in the central roads of Hamedan and the method for so doing was descriptive-analytical. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect research data. The reliability of the instrument was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test with a coefficient of 0.74. The statistical population was shopkeepers and passers-by in the area. Due to the uncertainty of the number of the study population, 384 people were determined as the sample size using the Cochran uncertain statistical population formula. The study of security in the streets of Hamadan is a subject that has no background and its results are complementary to the previous studies that Izadi and Haghi have dealt with in Imam Square of Hamadan. The results showed that Bouali Street has the highest security compared to the other five passages. In this street, activity and land use with 0.87 operating load was the highest position. Other streets in terms of security conditions were Shariati Street (activity and land use with 0.72), Takhti Street (activity and land use with 0.66), Babataher Street (activity and land use with 0.63), Shohada Street (role of social supervision with 0.48) and Ekbatan Street (role of readability with 0.42). The results indicated that the factor of activity and land use had the greatest impact on the security of urban roads in Hamedan.

This research has investigated City Development Strategy (CDS) in improvement of informal settlements in Imam Khomeini Port. The research type is applied and its method is descriptive-analytical and quantitative. We used documentary and library methods to explain the goals and principles of CDS field survey to check its indicators in the study area and questionnaire to collect data.. The sample size was determined by Cochran formula with the number of 376 residents by simple random sampling and 50 experts and 26 components were selected as dependent variables for indicators of governance, competitiveness, banking and livability. The reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient, 0.76 for the residents' and 0.81 for the experts' questionnaires. Inferentiotic statistics methods such as T-test were used for data analysis SWOT analysis was used to determine appropriate strategies and QSPM method was used to prioritize strategies. The results of the studied indicators from the perspective of citizens with an average of 2.3 and from the experts' view with an average of 2.9 showed that CDS indicators in Imam Khomeini port are not in a good conditions. Appropriate strategies (WT) with defensive position were determined and prioritized. The first to fourth priorities were determined in the order of attracting people's participation, focusing on strategic thinking and integrated urban management, paying special attention to environmental issues and justice in access to facilities. The innovative approach of this research is to provide operational solutions to improve the situation of a city that has hosted the immigrants of the imposed war and endured a lot of pressure during the 8 years of holy defense.
