The purpose of this study was to evaluate and measure the impact of environmental characteristics and socio-economic characteristics of the functional axis on the citizens' travel pattern in Hamedan city. The type of research is applied and its method is descriptive-analytical. Sample size for three functional axes (Shariati, Mirzadeh Eshghi, Sa'idieh) was determined in Hamedan region using Cochran formula (225, 290 and 265) respectively. Simple random sampling method was used. SPSS software was used to analyze the data. The results of this study showed that, apart from the characteristics and environmental characteristics of the axes and functional corridors in the spatial structure of the city, hidden factors such as socio-economic features of functional axes play a decisive role in the formation of the patterns of displacement. According to research findings, the effect of environmental characteristics on the citizens' journey pattern in these axes is more than the impact of economic and social characteristics. As a result, due to this function and related travel pattern (public transportation) as well as the influential environmental characteristics (travel distance-travel length), it is possible to provide a public transportation system in these axes and extend it to other axes.

One of the main factors in assessing the degree of development in a region is existing adequate employment opportunities and the amount of labor supply and demand. That is in each area, according to the labor supply and demand, the job shortage is measured to examine the degree of its development. The labor market model is one of the models that examine the labor market conditions. The purpose of the present study is to examine the condition of labor market development in Sages county in a period of four recent censuses from 1966 to 2006. The study is practical in terms of aim, and a descriptive-analytic in terms of method. Data was collected from detailed results of population and housing censuses in 1966, 1976, 1986, 1996, and 2006.The research variables were the number of immigrants out, the number of immigrants in, the rate of natural growth, unemployment rate, employment and labor force. The result showed that the labor force market in Sagez county has not been balanced in any of the periods and this imbalance in the labor market has caused migration into the urban area and intense migration out in rural area. It was found that the lack of equal job opportunities in rural and urban areas has resulted in excessive transfers of population in these areas and finally, an imbalance of labor market in Sagez county as a whole.

The results showed that the green space per capitaof the city has reduced from 34.64 square meters in 2006 to 12.46 square meters in 2011. In addition, in 2006, the most qualitative and quantitative changes in favor of areas lacking green space was 69.91 percent which was increased in 2011 to 80.69 percent. During 2006 to 2011, the maximum incremental arealacking green space has been approximately 250 hectares and the largest reduction area with low green spacehas been approximately 250 hectares. During this period, the increases in construction and reducing overflow crowd to this area have been the reasons of green space reduction. From the total area of 2250 hectares, 356 hectares which was 15% of the total space, the situation is quite compatible to green space expansion. Due to the reduction of green space per capita compared to other land uses, it is necessary to take into account arrangements and preventive actions to reduce the excessive use of green space in urban planning.

Evaluation of environmental sustainability is inevitable because this is one of the most important tools in the planning process due to sustainable development policy making and planning. This research has a descriptive-analytical and applied method. The aim of study is to assess the environmental sustainability indicators in Ahvaz Metropolis with emphasis on air pollution and industrial pollutions. To achieve the purpose, we have used the indices of AHP for scoring. To analyze spatial data, GIS software is used. To evaluate urban environmental sustainability, we have also emphasized on two indicators of air pollution and industrial pollutions. The findings of the research indicate that the city of Ahwaz has instable environmental conditions based on air pollution. One region with effect coefficient 0.326 has the highest weight and the second region with the weight 0.033 has the lowest rates of infection among other regions. The dust storms also affect the areas of the city of Ahwaz. Evaluation of industrial pollution also shows that eight regions of the city have the highest infection rate effect (0.331) and district one with effect coefficient of 0.024 has the lowest level of industrial pollution in the urban areas.
