The purpose of the current research is to provide a model that can be used to evaluate the social challenges caused by the increase in high-rise urban development according to the criteria. Based on the data collection method, this research is descriptive and from the point of view of the goal, it is an applied development. The statistical population of the Delphi panel is 30 people from the experts in the field of urban planning, and the statistical population studied is managers and experts in urban planning and urban planning, and university professors. The tool for data collection is the Dimtel questionnaire, which was designed using the Delphi technique in three rounds. In order to break down and analyze the data and obtain cause and effect relationships and the weight of each index, the DANP combined technique was used. The results of the research showed that the dimension of disturbance in social interactions (0.00262) and decrease in mental health (0.240.00) have the most weight, followed by disturbance in privacy (0.00209), disturbance in socialization (0.189) 0) and reducing the sense of belonging to the place (0.00145) has taken the third to fifth ranks. And in the end, suggestions have been made to reduce the social consequences in the process of upgrading Ahvaz city.
